But the Salt Knight died horrifically and the player had continued with Suzy, who was to take on the role of squire today. It seemed fitting to all at the table that this session should see her take a more prominent role in helping the realm, followed by her being knighted. Her backstory was that her hamlet (002.003) had been ravaged when she was but a child and that today's session would play into that somehow. This is cool backstory but didn't answer the question of how today's session would start. So I gave some suggestions and we decided the party would begin at the Fetid Sanctum (004.001) and would see the Company escort an acolyte to Windswept Spire (004.006). Prologue The session started with a discussion about how the Company had accumulated a meaningful amount of Glory and how that influenced their standing in the realm. The Fanged Knight was keen to start a political career. They spoke to the captain to learn about the Holding but the captain didn't really care much about the place and mainly had second-hand stories. Once they disembarked they sought a local to gain further intel and they encountered Suzy, a young hunter, who cared little for the paper-pushers, but she knew a little of how the political game was played. The Weaver Knight wanted to know what was causing this greying of the lands. So in his vision the Weaver Knight was running around an underground chamber (a dark cave) he knew he was looking for something, but knew not what. In his frantic search he was heating up and sweating. His heart was beating against his ribs.
