One Shot Open Table Play Report Mythic Bastionland The Fanged Knight Squire Suzy Myths The Catacomb The Cave The Demon Prologue Two returning players! One player had previously been the Salt Knight. But the Salt Knight died horrifically and the player had continued with Suzy, who was to take on the role of squire today. It seemed fitting to all at the table that this session should see her take a more prominent role in helping the realm, followed by her being knighted. Her backstory was that her hamlet (002.003) had been ravaged when she was but a child and that today's session would play into that somehow. This is cool backstory but didn't answer the question of how today's session would start. So I gave some suggestions and we decided the party would begin at the Fetid Sanctum (004.001) and would see the Company escort an acolyte to Windswept Spire (004.006). There was something buried there and the acolyte would help find it and help convince the locals that this diggin...

One Shot Open Table Play Report Mythic Bastionland The Fanged Knight The Leaf Knight The Salt Knight Myths ? Prologue The session started with a discussion about how the Company had accumulated a meaningful amount of Glory and how that influenced their standing in the realm. The Fanged Knight was keen to start a political career. Inspired by Bram Stoker he opted for a seat on the island of grey.   Sudden Storm - 003.003 The Company voyaged to Sudden Storm, the colour faded from sky and thread alike. They spoke to the captain to learn about the Holding but the captain didn't really care much about the place and mainly had second-hand stories. Once they disembarked they sought a local to gain further intel and they encountered Suzy, a young hunter, who cared little for the paper-pushers, but she knew a little of how the political game was played. The Company decided it might be best to first rid the island of the greying curse. That way it downplayed the power of the current lea...

Two Shot Open Table Play Report - Part II Part I can be found  here . Mythic Bastionland The Amber Knight The Leaf Knight The Riddle Knight The Fanged Knight Myths The Toad - NW Island The Boar - Center Island The Troll - NE Island The Plague - SW Island The Cave - radiant *I have altered the Wilderness Roll to be: 1: radiant myth, 2-3: myth from corresponding island. Prologue We ended the last session at the sanctum in the north east. After receiving visions the knights were not unified on their next goal. After some back and forth the Riddle knight prevailed in convincing the Company that the greatest threat was on the grey island to the west. We agreed that it made the most sense to start the session the moment the Company approached the island. We did do a short travel montage. The vessel was a decommissioned viking war vessel with antique round shields mounted on the ship's railing. The shields had seen better days. The Riddle knight managed to trade an old broken shield for s...

Two Shot Open Table Play Report - Part I Mythic Bastionland The Leaf Knight The Weaver Knight The Shield Knight Myths The Child The Imp The Lizard The Beast The Bat The Inferno Prologue I wanted to play a game for some people in the Dungeons&Dyslexia discord server ( YouTube ). There had been a lively conversation about Pendragon and as a Mythic Bastionland-enjoyer I just couldn't let that slide. In a recent conversation with Horst (of  Black City Gauntlet  fame) I was shamed for making decisions where the dice and/or players would generate more interesting and surprising results. I tried to lean into that style of play slightly more than what I generally prefer. I would usually curate the myths somewhat, but for this game I rolled up 6 myths and placed them randomly. I was tempted to remove The Inferno which I had recently ran, but the potential judgement of Horst loomed great in my mind and I decided against it. Anyway there is a substantial chance that specific myth isn...
