One Shot Open Table Play Report Mythic Bastionland The Saddle Knight The Dust Knight Myths The Colossus Prologue The Saddle Knight had previously worked with an elderly hunter who claimed a curse had rapidly aged him. Today's quest was to find a way to reverse this curse. The table thought it best to start at the Pale Keep, where the Dust Knight had recently arrived from another realm. The Pale Keep - 007.009 Since the Company knew little of how to solve this curse they asked someone in a position of authority, the Marshall. He thought a visit to the Seer on the NW island (a Seer the Company had previously been directed towards) was not necessary since the Seer on this island had recently returned! 008.008 The Company left the Pale Keep and travelled East, around midday they came upon a man washing clothing in a brook under the Goat Tree. My intentions were to have a local that knew more about the land, but the Company was really, really fascinated by a tree that had soft goat fur...

One Shot Open Table Play Report Mythic Bastionland The Fanged Knight The Leaf Knight The Leaf-Clad Guard Myths The Sun Prologue - Mt. Arduus - 009.006 The previous session ended as the Company emerged from a winding tunnel in the side of Mt. Arduus. I suggested this session start here and all agreed. The Company was still set on returning the Seer (who still wishes to not be seen or heard) to her Sanctum so I asked the players how the Seer would communicate directions (something more than "go south east"). It was decided that the Leaf Knight placed parchment, ink and a quill on the ground. And while there is little mythic about written notes on parchment, we gotta get this session to take off, so this solution sufficed. Silent Summit 009.007 The Company crossed the jagged terrain in sweltering heat and were glad to reach the Sanctum where they could rest. The place had been vacated a while ago and this brought up several questions, the reasons weren't exactly forthcoming,...

One Shot Open Table Play Report Mythic Bastionland The Tiger Knight The Ring Knight The Saddle Knight Myths The Troll The Pool Prologue For this one-shot a fresh Company of Knights was to arrive in the realm. The table thought it fitting that they were exiled from their realm and needed some artefact as means of redemption. The book's margin sparks suggested Silver Fur to which the table nodded in agreement. South Harbour - 008.011 The Company disembarked after their weeks long travel. Their horses kissed the solid ground and all left towards the Pale Keep. The Pool 2 - 008.010 The Company crested a hill and saw in the valley below an elderly chap who was beyond distraught. He had sipped from a strange brook and upon taking his lunch break discovered his body old and aching. He looked to the Company for a guide to rid this curse and a curt Tiger Knight dashed any hope the man had had by telling him they had no idea how to help him. Nevertheless, when he was much much younger (hours...

One Shot  Session 1 Play Report Mythic Bastionland The Riddle Knight The Emerald Knight Myths The Toad - NW Island The Boar - Centre Island The Troll - NE Island The Plague - SW Island The Pool - radiant *I have altered the Wilderness Roll to be: 1-2: radiant myth, 3-4: myth from corresponding island. Prologue Two friends were willing to subject themselves to my mythical nonsense, so we set up a one-shot. By the end the players were keen to come back to these knights, so I guess a campaign is born.  The table decided to start at "the big castle". Then the Riddle Knight player, who has been reading Tolkien recently, decided that there was something under the volcano and that should be the focus of the session. What's under the mountain? A witch and the fountain of youth were both proposed by the table. I wasn't familiar with the Coven myth, but it felt fitting. A brief read was in order. Running it normally might not work, but cutting it up for parts would be fine. The...

One Shot Open Table Play Report Mythic Bastionland The Riddle Knight The Fanged Knight A Leaf-Clad Guard Myths The Toad - NW Island The Boar - Centre Island The Troll - NE Island The Plague - SW Island The Bull - radiant *I have altered the Wilderness Roll to be: 1-2: radiant myth, 3-4: myth from corresponding island. Prologue I wanted this session to continue from the  last session (despite both being one-shots). Luckily I had the Fanged Knight player reprise her role, and I had asked her to be prepared to brief the other two players. The rundown is that the Company had been spotted crouched over the fresh carcass of the Green Bull, bringer of Blessings. Word travels fast and now many in the realm want to see the Company be brought to justice. They were subsequently accosted by two Leaf-Clad Guards, one of whom they slayed (brutally and mercilessly). The other was initially wounded, but the Company tended to his wounds and brought him to Meredith's Cabin to further recuperate. Th...

One Shot Open Table Play Report Mythic Bastionland The Salt Knight The Leaf Knight The Riddle Knight The Fanged Knight Myths The Toad - NW Island The Boar - Center Island The Troll - NE Island The Spectre - radiant Prologue I had two players from the last one-shot join my game again. I was hugely surprised by how much they remembered from last time (it was either very fun or somewhat traumatizing). I had kicked myself a little that I had given little thought to epilogues during the last session, mainly due to time constraints. But here arose the chance to make amends and let these two have a prologue. The Salt Knight, being the Salt Knight, decided that they were able to understand the intricacies of the salt market and they became a provider for many food service establishments. The Fanged Knight had spent some time with Meredith, the old coot. Meredith nursed the Fanged Knight back to full health and I would say they are probably good friends at this point. I sure hope nothing bad ha...
