Part II - Peter's Lowlands

Brian of Luck Roll fame and fellow co-host of the Smiling Fox podcast is the second contributor to this project.

When I was starting up I needed a victim someone to help proofread and who I could bounce a few ideas off. Brian offered to help out, for which I am hugely grateful, but it's therefore fitting that he was ushered to the front of the line of collaborators.

Hex-flower

In his blogpost you can read how he applied an interesting method of generating ideas for the hexes and ended up with a very dense hex-flower that fits the strange and adventurous nature of Mythic Bastionland.

The area is also just begging for referees to add NPCs that have been affected by the Soul-Splitting hazard, a narrative prelude to the knights' possible fate.

Part 0 - Kick-off. Woland is a collaborative realm I plan to organise over the next 20 weeks! The goal is to get contributors who will each design a hex-flower and then to stitch all 20 hex-flowers together for a complete realm. Fellow referees can take the realm entirely or rip out bits and pieces. Contributions Participants are asked to detail a hex-flower with at least two landmarks and to describe their thought process in how they designed that content. Arrival After a long voyage the Company arrived at the southern tip of the middle island. The steeds kissed the ground, glad to have solid ground under their feet. Spectre 1 - 008.011 The Company was walking through a wooded area when they met the procession. They thought the mourners were kinda sussy at first, but the mourners turned out to be pretty chill. The Salt Knight was asked to maybe say a few words, and they were like "bruh what, I didn't even know them" so they settled on a prayer in silence. Woland - A Collaborative Mythic Realm - Part 1

Part I This is part of an ongoing project that you can read about here . -=-=- There are conveniently 20 hex-flowers so participants may roll a d20 to determine which hex-flower they are allowed to fill in. I rolled a 17 so this is my hex-flower: The realm has 6 holdings, which might make it a little cramped, so let's make this holding essentially a non-player. There should be some potential to be a threat at some later point, but for now the holding isn't muddling in anyone's business. The picture above depicts the holding in a specific hex that needn't be the actual location of the holding, but unless some reason pops up, it will stay there, since that hex is fitting. Holding (first thoughts) The denizens should have little need for outside contact. Which raises the question of what does a holding look like that has almost zero trade. Zombies and ghosts come to mind, but that just might be a vibe for a different project. There might be some inspiration in the stories ...
